Whereas it appeareth unto as Two of her Maties. Justices of ye. Peace for ye. Sd. County
(Quor unuc) upon ye. Complt. of ye. Churchwardens & Overseers of ye poor of ye. Sd
parish of St. Giles wthout Cripplegate That Ralph Rumball wth Elizabeth
his wife & her Children Katherine about Three [..] Years Old & Mary < no role > about a
Yeare and Nine Months old, is Late intended & come into their sd. parish
endeavouring to Settle & remaine there wthout paying any parish taxes
or duty & there, or giveing such Notice in Writeinge to any of ye. Officers there
of ye plats of his aboade as by Law he ought, he & his Sd. family haveing
been there not exceeding ye. space of one months and whereas it appear
to us ye Sd Justices that by reason of ye. poverty of ye. Sd. Ralph Rumbell the
haveing nothinge wherewth. to maintaine himself & his Sd. wife & Children,
they will unavoidably her ours greate charge to ye Sd. parish of St: Giles
wthout Cripplegate if not speedily prevented) and whereas it alsoe appeareth

in a house or Tenemt at Eleven Pounds P: Ann rent & these they paid to ye. Church
& Poor Her Can We now upon a strict examinacon finde, that he ye. sd Ralph
Rumball< no role > hath gained any other place of Legall Settlemt: Suite We therefore
doe adjudge & deem ye. sd. parish of St: John Hackney to he ye. Last place of ye
Legall Settlemt: of ye sd. Ralph Rumball and that he ye. sd. Ralph Rumball< no role > &
his sd. wife & Children ought to be Sent to ye Sd. parish of St. John Hackney
These are therefore in her Maties Name to require you on Sight hereof to pass. removed &
Convey ye. sd. Ralph Rumball< no role > & his Sd wife & Two Children from & out of ye. Sd
parish of St: Giles wthout Cripplegate or Soe many of them as are thereto be
found to ye parish of St: John Hackney aforesd. and them deliver to ye Churchwardens
& Overseers of ye. poor there or to some or one of them together wth the present
where are hereby required them to receive & provide for, as their octative shall
require as they due for other such poor of their sd parish untill they can
otherwise free themselves thereof by due Course of Law; And this is your
