Deponents further severally say that they did Attend at the next being the
now present General Quarter Sessions for the peace held at Hicks Hall in and
for the City and Liberty of westminster and County of Middlesex in Order to
prefer the said Bill and give Evidence thereon agreeable to the Recognizance
entered into for that purpose but were informed by Mr. Johnson the Clerk of
the Indictments that the said Bill could not be preferred without the Record
or a Certificate thereof from Meredith price< no role > Esquire Clerk of Assize for the said
County of Salop of the Conviction of the said James Davies< no role > And these Deponents
further severally say they did on this present day and several times before
Apply at the House of the said of the said Mr Price in Lincolns Inn Field
in the said County of Middlesex in order to Obtain such Record or Certificate
for the purpose aforesaid when these Deponents were severally informed by Samuel
Kinsey
< no role > Clerk to the said Mr Price that the said Mr Prices was down in
Wales and that these Deponents could not have the said Record or the
Certificate thereof by Reason of the said Mr. Prices absence whereby
these Deponents and prevented as they are informed from preferring the said
Bill of indictment against the said John Legris< no role >
