Maketh Oath and Saith that sometime in the Month of
May last soon after he this Deponent & Walter Smith< no role >
of
Ring Street Golden Square
in the same Parish and County
had entred into Recognizance for the Appearance of the
said Sir Alexr Gilmour< no role >
, the said John Daly< no role >
applied to
this Deponent as a friend of Sir Alexander to five him
a little trifle of Money and he would discharge the
prosecution and this Deponent accordingly consulted
Sir Alexander upon the Subject, who empowered the
Deponent to do in it what he pleased. That this Deponent
Accordingly gave the said John Daly< no role >
five Guineas who
executed a general Release to the said Sir Alexander
And this Deponent saith that he filled up the said
Release and was one of the two Subscribing Witnesses
to the Execution of the same and this Deponent soon
afterwards delivered the said Release to Sir Alexander
Gilmour< no role >
. That this Deponent is informd at Sir
Alexander Gilmour< no role >
's house that he is at present in
the Country
