To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Saint George, Hanover-Square , within the
Liberty of Westminster , in the County of Middlesex , and
to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields in the said
Liberty and to each and every of them

WHEREAS Complaint has been made unto Us,
two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and
for the City and Liberty of Westminster aforesaid, (one
whereof being of the Quorum) by the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint
George, Hanover-Square , That Anne Wood< no role > Widow
of Tobias Wood< no role > Aged upwards of thirty years and her five Children
by the said husband Vizt. time aged 8 years Joseph < no role > upwards of Six years
Thomas < no role > upwards of four years Mary < no role > aged three years and Elizabeth < no role > Aged
Seven Months have
lately intruded, and come into the said Parish of Saint
George, Hanover-Square , and are
become Chargeable to the same, We the said Justices,
upon Examination of the Premises upon Oath, and other
Circumstances, do adjudge the same to be true, and do
also adjudge the Place of the last legal Settlement of the
said Anne Wood< no role > and her five Children Vizt. Anne, Joseph
Thomas
< no role > , Mary, and Elizabeth to be in the Parish of Saint
Martin in the Fields in the Liberty of Westminster

THESE are therefore, in His Majesty's Name, to
require you the said Church-Wardens and Over-
seers of the Poor, on Sight hereof, to remove and convey
the said Anne Wood< no role > and herfivesaid five Children
from and out of your said Parish of Saint George, Hano-
ver-Square , to the said Parish of Saint Martin in the
Fields
and them deliver unto the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor there, or to some or one of them,
together with this our Order, (or a true Copy hereof,)
who are hereby required to receive and provide for
them according to Law. Given under our
Hands and Seals this 22d. Day of September 1773.
