At the General Session of the Peace of our Lord the King holden
for the County of Middlesex at Hickshall in Saint John Street in the
same County (by adjournment) on Thursday the fifth day of December
in the Twelfth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George
the Third King of Great Britain Etc. Before John Hawkins< no role >
Benjamin Cowley< no role > Bartholomew Hammond< no role > , Saunders Welch< no role >
Esquires and others their Fellows Justices of our said Lord the King
Assigned to Keep the peace of our said Lord the King within the said
County and also to hear and Determine Divers Felonies Trespasses
and other Misdemeanors Committed in the said County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poorof the Poorof
the Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn above the Bars in the said County
Have at this present Session exhibited their Petition and Appeal Settingforth
that by an Order or Pass Warrant under the Hands and Seals of John
Jane and John Cox< no role > Esquires two of his Majesty's Justices of Peace for the
said County of Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing Date
the Thirtyeth day of October last 1771. Esther Birchell< no role > Singlewoman ,
(by the Name and description of Esther Robertson< no role > the Wife of Matthew
Robertson
< no role > who had deserted and left her) and her two Children namely
Martha< no role > aged Three Years and Elizabeth< no role > aged two Years were removed
and Conveyed from and out of the Parish of Saint Mary Le bone in the-
said County to the said Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn above the
Bars as the place of their last legal Settlement Whereby the Petitioners
conceived themselves aggrieved Now upon the hearing of the said Appeal in
the presence and hearing of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of Saint Mary le bone and they consenting by their Council
to the Allowing of the said Appeal and the same is hereby Allowed and the
said Pass Warrant or Order of the said two Justices is hereby vacated and
set aside And it is further Ordered that the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn above the
Bars Do forthwith convey and deliver back the said Poor Woman and her
two Children (together with a Copy of this Order) unto the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Mary le bone or to
same or one of them who are hereby required to receive and Provide for
them untill they can free themselves from the Charge thereof by due
Course of Law
