Ought or ought not Mr. Batler or Mr. Butler and
which of them as principal (the word Deputy not being
is used in any of the Acts.) to return this Estreatr. And by the
term & tempore which is meant?

If You should be of opinion that Mr. Waller or Mr. Butler
ought to return their Estreat Can Mr Jefferson excuse
himself therefrom by quitting his employmt. as Deputy
by which he willbedivest himself of all trust and
Right to the the use of Records necessary forcompleating the
completionof itthereof

Is the Person making these estreats Obliged to take the
Oath prescribed, that they are truly & carefully made up &
examd. And that [..] Ale Fines Etc. which were set Etc. And in Eight &
due course of law ought to be estreated, are to the best
of his knowledge & understandg. therein contained
And that [positively] in the same Estreats are also Contained &
expressed all Such fines as have been paid into Court witht.
any Wilful or fraudulent discharge omission misnomer
or, defect whatsoevr. if he is satisfied that the material
fromwhereof the Estreat is made up is defective in
many instances; and whereby it appears not that any
one fine was pd. into Court altho' in Conscience he
believes many were. Or can the Oath be varied to suit
this particular, cases, or dispensed with?
