To the Worshipfull his Majesties Justices of the
Peace assembled at the General Quarter Sessions of the
Peace holden by Adjournment at Hicks's Hall in and
for the County of Middlesex

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Whiteparish in the
County of Wilts

Sheweth


That James Chitherow< no role > and John Drinkwater< no role > Esquires two
of his Majesties Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex
aforesaid upon Complaint made to them by the Township of New Brentford
in the County of Middlesex That Hannah Hewlet< no role > and her four
Bastard Children Vizt. John< no role > aged about Six Years Hannah< no role > aged
about five Years, Ann< no role > aged about five Years and Thomas< no role > Aged
about Eight Weeks born in New Brentford aforesaid had come to
Inhabit in the said Township of New Brentford aforesaid not having
gained a legal Settlement there nor produced any Certificate owning
her to be Settled elsewhere and that she the said Hannah was become
Chargeable to the same Township Did by an Order or Warrant
of Removal under their hands and Seals bearing date the third day of
May instant Order the said Hannah Hewlet and her said four
Bastard Children to be removed and Conveyed from the said Township
of New Brentford to the said Parish of White parish as the place of their
last legal Settlement and did require the said Churchwardens and
Overseers of the said Parish called Whiteparish to receive and provide
for the said Hannah Hewlett< no role > as an Inhabitant of the said parish and
also to receive and suffer to remain with her for Nurture the abovenamed four
Bastard Children

That the said Hannah Hewlet< no role > and four Bastard Children by
Virtue of the said Order have been removed and Conveyed from the said Township
of New Brentford to the said Parish of Whiteparish whereby they now remain
Chargeable to the said Parish

Your Petitioners apprehending themselves Aggrieved by the said
Order or Warrant of Removal made by the said two Justices as
aforesaid Do therefore humbly Appeal against the same.
