The Exammation of Edward Dacon Now Residing in the parish
of Harrow on the hill in the County of Middx Labourer taken
on Oath before me William Hallatt< no role > Esqr one of his Majestys
Justices of the peace in and for the Said County this 24 day of augst 1768

Who on his Oath Saith that he is Near fourty Years of age Says he was born
in the Parish of Arras in Queens County in the Kingdom of Ireland Says he
has a Wife Now Living Named Ann< no role > and twoChildrenSons VizWilliam Edward< no role > about Nine
Years of Age and William< no role > About four years as Age Says that about twenty Seven
Years [..] as he Came from the Said Kingdom of Ireland Over to England Where
he had Resided Ever Since but Never gained Any Legal Settlement Since the Nine
of his Birth as aforesaid to the best of his knowledge and belief

And Whereas the Said Edward Dacon< no role > is Now before in the Justice
Aforesaid and Charged on the Oath of William Anderson< no role > one of the Overseers of the
Poor of the Said Parish of Harrow on the hill in the Said County of Middx With being
A Rogue and Vagabond by Runing Away and Leaving his Wife and two Children
Whereby May have become Chargeable to the Said parish of Harrow on the hill
in the Said County of Middx and he the said Edward Dacon< no role > Saith that he did in or
about the Month of March Last past Run away from and out of the Said parish
of Harrow on the hill Searing his Said Wife and two Children in the Said parish
of harrow on the hill Since which time he hath been Wandering about the
Country and Lodging in Barns or Outhouses Sometimes got Imployment and at
Other times Begging
