The Inhabitants of the Hamlet of Kew in the
Parish of Kingston in the County of Surry
Appellants

The Inhabitants of the Parish of Ealing in the
County of Middlesex Respondents.

John Ayton< no role > of Little Ealing in the County of Middlesex Gentleman maketh Oath,
and Saith That he this Deponent Did on the Ninth day of this instant April Serve
Mr. Blake Solicitor for the Appellants with a Notice of Motion in writing in this Cause by
Delivering the same to the said Mr. Blake's Clerk at his House in Essex Street in the Strand
in the County aforesaid And this Deponent further Saith That he this Deponent did
on the tenth day of this instant April Serve William Frankcombe< no role > Esquire Overseer of the
Hamlet of Kew with a like Notice of Motion by delivering the Same to Mr. Frankcombe his
Wife at his House Kew who Promised to deliver the Same to her Husband Which
Said notice Purported That the Respondents intended to move the Court at the next
General Quarter Session of the Peace to be holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks
Hall in Saint John Street in the Said County by Adjournment on Thursday the thirtieth
day of this instant April by ten o Clock in the Forenoon Or as Soon after as
Councel could be heard That the last Order of Court made on the Ninth day of
December One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Six) being the Adjournment of
December Session last) Upon the hearing of the Petition and Appeal in this Cause
touching the Settlement of Samuel Clarke< no role > and Jane his wife and their three
Children therein named might be discharged, And that the Appeal might
Stand Dismissed.
