Hamlet of Kew
a
Parish Ealing

John Pepper< no role > one of the Overseers of the Hamlet of Kew in the County
of Surry maketh Oath and Saith that the Church warden and Overseer of
the said Hamlet Conceiving the said Hamlet to be aggrieved by an
Order of two Justices for removing Samuel Clake< no role > and his Family from
the Parish of Ealing to the said Hamlet did give Notice to Appeal
there from at the last Sessions and Appeal was Accordingly Lodged
as this Deponent is informed and believes and the same was adjourned
to June Sessions and at June Sessions again adjourned to September
Sessions at the Instance of the Hamlet of Kew as this Deponent
is informed and believes And this Deponent Saith that the reason
why the Same was So from time to time adjourned was because the
Church warden and Overseers of the said Hamlet could not produce
the Pauper who absconed and could not be found altho diligent
Sarah was made after him and they were advised by Council
that they could not Safely hear the said Appeal without producing
the Pauper And this Deponent Saith that the Church warden and
Overseer of the Said Hamlet intended to have had the said Appeal
adjourned again in last September Sessions for the reason aforesd. but
the same was neglected to be Done as this Deponent is informed, and
for that reason was as their Deponent is also Informed Struck out of
the paper altho it was the Intention of the Church warden and Overseer
of the Sd. Hamlet to have brought the sd. Appeal is a Hearing as soon as
they could have produced the Pauper, and the Same is now their
Intention if the Court shall think fit to restore the Sd. Appeal to
the Paper
