On the prosecution of
Margaret Butler< no role >

Margaret Butler< no role > of Nightingale Lane near Wapping in the County of
Middlesex Widow the prosecutrix in this Cause Maketh Oath That on or
about the twenty Second day of November last past she this Deponent
was Servea with a Notice Signed by the Above named Defendant,
Michael Morris< no role > purporting that the said Defendant would appear at
the next General Sessions of the peace to be held for the County of
Middlesex at Hick's hall in Saint Johns Street in and, for the said
County on this present ninth day of December by nine of the Clock
in the forenoon on the same day and would then and there Try his
Traverse on the above Indictment And this Deponent Saith that in
pursuance of such Notice She Ordered her Case to be Stated for her
Councel on the said Tryal and took out two Subpena's for a
Witnesses to attend the same And by virtue thereof Caused
Witnesses to be Suspenaed to attend the said Tryal And this
Deponent Saith that She received no Countermand of the said Notice
of Tryal till yesterday the Eighth day of this Instant December
about the hour of Twelve of the Clock in the forenoon.
