Spitalfields Scavenger That she hath known the Deceased
about three MonthsThat she hath known Collins her
Mistress fourteen YearsThat she knows nothing of any
ill Usage to the Child Except on last Saturday between Eight
and nine in the MorningInformant was going
by Collins's Door to Carry a Thing to Pawn And she heard
the Deceased Cry out "dear Mistress don't Beat me any more
if You do You'll Kill me"That thereupon Informant
Put her head into the Passage andher dothere shew saw
Collins Beating the DeceasedThat she Beat her wth.
a Stick about the Thickness of her Two Fingers which
Informant thinks was a Cloaths stick
That she gave her about four Blows ever her Shoulders
as she Lay on the GroundThat she Left off
Beating the Deceased while Informant was there and left
her on the Ground and Came and Hit Informant a Slap
on the Face and then Shoved her Out of Doors and Shirt
the Door agt. her And Informant never saw the
Deceased afterwardsThat she had seen the Deceased
the Thursday before And she had then no Marks of Violence
about herDon't know when she Died'
