Mishehaviours he is Intitlead to & takes them
if the Party is Committed to his Custody &
Tryed at the Old 'Bailey -That the Keeper
pays a rent of £30, or 40, a year to the City for
the press yard which is an addition to the
Gaol and that the Witness believes he pays
no Rent or Satisfaction whatever for the
Tap house or as Keeper but on the contrary
the City pays him a Salary of £200, a year

That the press yard is not part of the
Gaol tho' prisoners are kept there and
no person has a right to go into it without
agreeing with the Keeper for his Fee
which was setled by the Court of Aldermen
at about £3.6.8.-That he knows of
no Rents or Perquisites arising from
Newgate to the County of Middlesex or to the
City except what is paid for the press yard
That if a person charged in Execution should
be taken out of the Links of the old Gaol
it
