That all Fines Americaments & Recognizances
in Middlesex belong to the Crown and all
Forfeitures in Middlesex are Seized by the
Sheriffs for the Crown in London the Sheriffs
claim to he Intitled to them-That the Keeper of
Newgate looses his Fees if the prisoners
are not removed thither in order for their Tryal
Pursuant to an Order for the prisoners to he
removed Six days before the Sessions-That
he has known many Applications to the Lord
Mayor or the Committing Justice to dispence
with this Order and to permit the prisoner to stay
in the Compter 'til the time of Tryal sometimes with
success and sometimes without, sometimes
with a Compliment of a Guinea to the Keeper
of Newgate but he believes a hundred times to
one without any Fees-That the Keeper has
no Demand of Fees for Felony but believe if
its offered he takes them and in Cases of
Misdemeanors
