J Beach An Accot. of Ingns. from 755. to 65. upon an
Average 6 or 7. Felons to 1 Dr.-almost all the
28 in 1763. died of contagious Distemper
except about 6 or 7-Supposes more than 1/3.
of the whole 132 died of Gaol Distemper.

Means an epidemical Fever-believes
the Gaol seldom totally free from it-some
times hardly more than 4 in a year.

Believes it may be in other Gaols-great
Many dye of it-takes 'em off very soon-
can't form any Judgmt. for so few dying in ten
years.'tis comon for a great many to have it at or
same time
Less timerous now than formerly
being more used to it but looks on place to
be extreamly dangerous.97
