the wall between Newgate & the scite
of Ludgater. is it not the City's already
by the next deposition it seems so.

the County to contributer. no see

The City's annual is (according to the accot.
deliver'd in) £38.000 therefore when the present
public designs are compleat it will in time
grow very rich then why lead the Industrious
part of the County when the business may been
done at the expence or on the Credit of the Corpo-
ration without taxing an individual.

Ludgate was as much a Goal for Debtors
of Middx as Newgate 'till by order of the

Midd Justices prescribe to comit to Newgate

By Degress all the [..] Aldermen Etc. were put into the
Comission (instead of Gentlemen of the County) but not by Charter

very beneficial Grants is same Charter therefore
if the Citizens now think Newgate a Burthen let 'em also
consider the John as an equivalent.

This shews that the City have not the
whole load of Middx prisoners.

Admits if the ground between Newgate &
the Sessions house was turn'd into
an Area it would be of benefit

the City Gates-and as history says
was used for a Gaol in 1213. 60

removal is 2 Months; of discharged, not above
