Have you taken all the sums paid to
the Sheriff of 93 Years ?

paying a certain sum to the Sheriff.

An Acct. of Inquisition taken in Newgate
I took them myself-82 in 7 Years.

In cases of Violent Death I do-If
die Natural Deaths they are brot. out to me,

days who I thought died of the Gaol Distemper
I think the Gaol Distemper more in
Newgate than in other Gaolsseveral
died in the New Gaol , brot. from Newgate
thought they Caught it in Newgate I have

been ill myself by going to Newgate It smells
very badThinks the Cause of those dying in
1763 was from the fulness & Closeness of the
Gaol.

Was the Cell dirty or Clean ?

Can't recollect only look at the deceased

when they opened the Door was there any
particular bad smell ?

Can't saysmelt very bad all the way
to it.

Mr. Akerman produced Account of persons dying
in Newgate from Jan.1758 to Jan. 1765 in [..] The
whole 83.

Whether over and above those the Wises or
Relations who have come to see their Husbands
have not taken Distemper and died ?
