At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord the King
holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street
in the said County (by Adjournment) on Thursday the Third day of May
1764 in the Fourth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the
Third King of Great Britain Etc.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Anne within the Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex Have
Exhibited their Petition and Appeal to this Court Setingforth That by Virtue of a
Pass Warrant or Order under the hands and Seals of John Cox< no role > and Stephen Clarke< no role >
Esquires two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex (one
whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the 5th. day of April 1764 William
Goodburn
< no role > was removed from the Parish of St. Giles in the Fields in the County
of Middlesex to the said Parish of Saint Anne as the Place of his last legal
Settlement whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves to be Aggrieved Which Appeal came on to be heard at this Present
Session And the Court Proceeded to hear the Council and
Witnesses and to the Determination of the said Appeal
But for as much as the said Parties or some of they desire to be further
heard and to be give further Evidence & Proof in the premes
before any final order is made therein
Whereupon at the request of the said PetitionersIt is Ordered by this consent of teh sd [..] that the benefit
of their said Appeal be saved unto the Petrs. and that the final hearing and Determining
thereof, the sd Appeal be and the same is hereby Adjourned untill the next General Session of
the Peace to be holden for this County and that the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Giles in the Fields on Notice hereof to be
given to them in the mean time and all Persons concerned Do attend with the Court with their Witnesses at
Hicks Hall aforesaid on Thursday the Seventh day of June next by nine of the
Clock in the Forenoon (at which time and Place the said Session will be holden by
Adjournment as it is Expected) to hear and abide the Judgement and Determination
of the said Court touching the said Appeal.
