At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord the
King holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint
John Sheet in the said County (by Adjournment) on Thursday the
Third day of May 1764 in the Fourth year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the Third King of Great Britain Etc
Before Thomas Lance< no role > Esquire the Right Honble John Lord Viscount
Dudley< no role > and Ward George Errington< no role > Stephen Clarke< no role > Esquires and
others their Fellows Justices of our said Lord the King assigned to
keep his Majesty's Peace in the said [..]
Determines divers Felonies Trespasses and other misdemeanours
committed in the same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square in the County of Middlesex Have Exhibited their Petition and Appeal
to this Court Seting forth that by Virtue of a Pass Warrant or Order under the hands and
Seals of John Cox< no role > and Philip Dyot< no role > Esquires two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
for the County of Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the 21st
day of February 1764. Hannah Potter< no role > wife of William Potter< no role > was removed from
the Parish of St. Giles in the Fields in the County of Middlesex to the Parish of St
George Hanover Square in the said County as the place of her last legal
Settlement Whereby the Petitioners thought themselves aggrieved Now upon hearing
of the said Appeal in the presence and hearing of the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Giles in the Fields and they consenting to the
Allowing of the said Appeal It is Ordered that the said Appeal be and the same
is hereby Allowed and the said Warrant or Order of the said Two Justices is hereby
Quashed and Vacated And it is further Ordered that the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. George Hanover Square or some
of them do forthwith Convey and Deliver back the said Hannah Potter< no role > (together
with a Copy of this Order) to the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of St. Giles in the Fields who are hereby required to receive and
Provide for her until theycan Free themselves from the presence thereof
by due Course of Law
