To the Worshipful His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the
County of Middlesex , in their General Session Assembled.

The humble Petition and Appeal of the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of St. Michael, Bassishaw , in Ye
City of London .

Sheweth,


That by Virtue of an Order or Warrant under Ye
Hands and Seals of William Mantle< no role > and William Timbrell< no role > , Esqrs ,
Two of His Majesty's Justices of ye Peace for ye. City and Liberty of
Westminster , in Ye County of Middlesex (one where of being of
the Quorum) bearing Date ye. Thirteenth Day of July last past,
Elizabeth Rawlings< no role > , Widow, was Removed from ye. Parish of St.
George , Hanover Square , within ye. Liberty of Westminster , in the
County of Middlesex , unto the Said Parish of St. Michael ,
Bassishaw, in ye City of London , alledging ye, Said Parish of
St. Michael , Bassishaw, to be the Place of her last legal
Settlement.

That your Petitioners Conceiving themselves
aggrieved by the Said Warrantor Order of ye. Said
Two Justices, Do therefore Appeal to your Worships
therefrom, And humbly Pray, that the Benefit of this
Appeal be saved unto them, and ye. hearing and
Determining thereof, be Adjourned until ye. next
General Quarter Session of ye. Peace to be ho holden
for ye. Said County of Middlesex ; and that the
Churchwardns and Overseers of Ye Poor of the Said
Parish of St. George , Hanover Square , may appear
before you, at a certain Day to be appointed, to hear
and abide Ye Indgment and Determination of your
Worships, touching this Appeal.

And your Petitioners Shall Pray Etc.
