, on a violent Suspicion of having Stolen
twelve fatt weather Sheep, this Examinant saith
his Father Thomas Smith< no role >
lives at Aylsbury
in the County
of Bucks
& hath rented a Farm of St. John Packington< no role >
of about forty Pounds a year rent for ten years Past, & this Examinant
Saith he hath lived with his father Ever time his Birth,
& used to help him to manage his farm Saith: he bought
the twelve Sheep above Mentioned at Chisham market
about three weeks after Michaelmass Last part of one
Main on maiden take lives in the Parish of Tring
in
the County of Hertford, whoes person he hath knowen
for some years past but is not Certain us to his Name,
& Gave Eight Shillings & six pence assine for them,
& hath kept them on his fathers Land: ever Since, Saith
he has a Brother named Thomas who lives with his Father
& that he is Joyntly Conserved in the said Sheep - & are half
his property:
