of the Peace for the County of Middlesex .

The Petition of John Turner< no role >
Keeper of Clerkenwell Bridewell ,

Humbly Sheweth.


That your Petitioner having four Small Children,
and being greatly in debt by misfortune of marrying a
Woman abandon'd to extravagance & vice, has no way
of providing for his children, nor of keeping himself
from a prison, if he be removed from his place; But if
Suffered to remain in it is now in hopes of paying
his debts and bringing up his children, She being gone
from him.

Therefore your Petitioner implores
your Worships patience & Compassion
that he may be continued in his place,
And he promises to exert his utmost
endeavours in the discharge of his duty.

And your Petitioner shall ever pray Etc.
