in Saint John Street
in the said County on
Thursday the Twenty Fourth day of February 1763, in the
Third year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George
the Third King of Great Britain Etc.
Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Saint Leonard Shoreditch
in the County of Middlesex
have this day Exhibited
their Petition and Appeal Setting forth that by a pass or Order of Removal
under the hands and Seals of two of his Majestys Justices of the peace
for the
County of Middlesex
(one being of the Quorum) bearing date the Tenth day
of February Instant Mary Bayley< no role >
Singlewoman
was removed from the Parish
of Saint Giles in the Fields
in the said County of Middlesex
to the Parish of
Saint Leonard Shoreditch
aforesaid as the place of her last legal Settlement by
which said pass or Order of the said Two Justices the said Petitioners apprehend
themselves Aggrieved Whereupon at the request of the said Petitioners It is
Ordered that the benefit of the said Appeal be Saved unto them And that the
hearing and Determination of the same be and is hereby Adjourned to the
next General Quarter Session of the peace to be holden for the said County
by Adjournment at Hicks Hall
aforesaid on Tuesday the Twelfth day of April
next and that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of
Saint Giles on Notice hereof and all other Persons concerned Do then and there
Attend the Court by Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon of the same day to hear and
Abide the Judgement and determination thereof in the Premisses
