Middlesex


At the General Session of the Peace of Our
Lord the King holden for the County of Middlesex at
Hicks Hall in Saint John Street in the said County by adjournmt.
on Saturday the Twenty Sixth day of February 1763 in the
Third year of the Reign of King George the Third now
King of Great Britain Etc.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Saint Leonard Shoreditch in this County have this day Exhibited their Petition
and Appeal Setting forth that by a pass or Order of Removal under the hands and
Seals of Two of his Majestys Justices of the peace for the County of Middlesex
(whereof one is of the Quorum) bearing date the Twenty Fifth day of January last
Margaret Williams< no role > Singlewoman was removed from the Parish of Christ Church
in the said County of Middlesex to the Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch
aforesaid as the place of her last legal Settlement whereby [..] the Petitioners
apprehend themselves aggrieved Whereupon at the request of the said Petitioners
It is Ordered that the benefit of the said Appeal be Saved unto them And that
the hearing and Determining thereof be and the same is hereby Adjourned
Untill the next General Quarter Session of the peace to be holden for this
County and that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Christ Church on Notice hereof to be given to them in the mean time and
all other Persons concerned Do Attend the Court at Hicks Hall aforesaid on Tuesday
the Twelfth day of April next by Nine of the clock in the Forenoon (at which
time and place the said Session will be holden by Adjournment as it is Expected)
to hear and abide the Judgement and Determination of the said Court touching
the said Appeal.
