Parish of Saint Leonard shoreditch
in the County of Middlesex
and to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Saint John Wapping
in the County of Middlesex

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made by you the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch in
the said County of Middx unto un whose Hands and Seals are
hereunto set, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace (where-
of one is of the Quorum) for the County of Middx afore-
said, that Sarah Garland< no role > This name instance is in set 439. This set is in the group(s): MothersPS . Widow hath
lately intruded into your said Parish of saint Leonard
there to inhabit as Parishoner contrary to the Laws relating
to the Settlement of the Poor, and is there likely to become
chargeable, if not timely prevented: AND WHEREAS, upon
due Examination and Enquiry made into the Premises, as
well upon the oath of the Said Sarah
Garland
< no role > as otherwise
it appears unto us, and we accordingly adjudge, that the said
Sarah Garland< no role > is
like to become chargeable unto the said Parish of Saint
Leonard and that the last legal Place of
Settlement of the said Sarah Garland< no role >
is in the said Parish of
Saint John Wapping

THESE are therefore in his Majesty's Name, to order and re-
quire you the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Saint Leonard aforesaid , that you
or some of you, do forthwith remove and convey the said
Sarah Garland< no role >
from your said Parish of Saint
Leonard to the said Parish of Saint
John Wapping and her deliver
to the Church wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some
or one of them, together with this our Warrant or Order,or a
true Copy hereof; whereby they are likewise required, in his
Majesty's Name, and by Virtue of the Statutes in such Case
made, forthwith to receive the said Sarah Garland< no role >
into their said parish and provide for her
as their own Parishioner. GIVEN under our Hands and Seals
the twenty second Day of January in the Year of
our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty
three
