The Information of Elizabeth Watkins< no role > Servt .
to Mr Richard Dymott< no role > of Swan Yard Book binder
and Ann Aslett< no role > Servt . to Clers. Mary Cowell< no role > of
the same Place, Taken before us this 19th
day of Frebry 1763

Elizabeth Watkins< no role > being upon Oath Says that on Friday
the 11th day of February instant between twelve and One o'Clock
in the morning as she went up Stairs to Bed and there found one
Elizabeth Fox< no role > noe present and Follow Servant with this Informt.
Setting upon the Feet of he Bed with all her Cloaths on tho' she
had been sent to Bed by her mistress near an Hour before) upon
which this Informt asked her why she did not goe to Bed to which
she Answered she must go down again to go to the vault and Accordingly went down
And took with her a Candle and Candlestick which had been just put
out, Says that in about Five Minutes afterwards She returned
with the Candle Lighted in her Hand and told this Informant that she
had not been at the Vault but that she had lighted the Candle at
the Parlour Fire, Says that she [..] sett down upon the Bed again and
never Offered to undress herself, and Says that in about Ten
minutes afterwards this Informt. heard acrackling below Stairs
as if it was Fire Upon which she jumped out of Bed and went
down Stairs and there saw a Quantity of paper Shavins in a Bin an Fire
in the Back Kitchen Says that there upon she returned up Stairs
into the Apprentices Room which was one pair of StaresHigher and
desired them to get up otherwise they wod. be burnt in their Beds
upon which they got up and ran down Stairs and found it all on
a Blaze, And this Informt further Says that where she went to Bed
there was no Appearance of any Fire, And Possitively Says that no
Persons what ever went down Stairs after this Informant went
up, Save the said Elizabeth Fox< no role > for which reasons this Informant
verily believes that she the said Elizabeth Fox< no role > was the Person that
set Fire to the House of the said Mr. Dymott
