Middlesex


At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our
Sovereign Lord the King holden for the County of Middx
at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street in the County aforesd.
by Adjournment on Wednesday the Twelfth day of January
1763, in the Third Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord
George the Third Kings of Great Britain Etc Before
Thomas Lane< no role > George Errington< no role > John Spencer Colepeper< no role >
Benjamin Cowley< no role > Esquire and others their Fellows
Justices of our said Lord the King assigned to keep the
peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear and deter-
mine Divers Felonies Trespasses and other Misdeeds
committed in the same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the parish of Stanwell in this County exhibited their petition
and Appeal at the last General Session of the peace holden for this
County by Adjournment on Friday the Tenth day of December last
(wch Session was begun and holden upon Monday the Sixthday of the
same month) settingforth that by a certain Order of Removal bear of
date on the Twenty ninth day of November last & made & subscribd.
with the Hands & Seals of Henry Lambe< no role > and William Godfrey< no role >
Esquires Two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in & for
the said County directed to the petitioners & to the Churchwards.
& Overseers of the poor of the Parish of Ealing in the County
aforesaid Reciting that Complaint had been made by the
said Church wardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish
of Ealing unto them the said Two Justices of the Peace whereof
one was of the Quorum That Elizabeth Wilkinson< no role > Singlewoman
had lately intruded into the said Parish of Ealing thereto Inhabit
as a parishsioner contrary to the Laws relating to the Settlement
of the Poor & was there likely to become Chargeable if not timely
prevented And further reciting that upon due Examination
& enquiry made into the premisses as well upon the Oath of the
said Elizabeth Wilkinson< no role > as otherwise it then Appeared unto
them the said Two Justices of the Peace and they accordingly
Adjudged that the said Elizabeth Wilkinson< no role > was like to
become Chargeable unto the said Parish of Ealing And that
the last Legal Place of Settlement of the said Elizabeth Wilkinson< no role >
