The humble Petition and Appeal of the Church Wardens and
Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Upminster
in the
County of Essex
Sheweth
That by Virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant under the Hand and Seal of

Esqr. One of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the County
of Middlesex
aforesaid bearing Date the 23d. Day of December 1762

deceased and Children viz.

aged Eight
Years and
Mary< no role >
aged three years were removed and conveyed from and out of
the Parish of Saint Mary Stratford Bow
in the same County as Rogues and Vagabonds (viz)
wandering and begging there to the said Parish of Upminster
as the Place of
their last Legal Settlement.
Your Petitioners conceiving themselves aggrieved by the said Order
or Pass Warrant of the said Justices Do humbly Appeal against the same
and pray that the Hearing and Determining thereof may be Adjourned until
the next General [..] Session of the Peace to be held in and for the said County
of Middlesex
And that the Court will be pleased to Appoint a Day in the said
next Session for the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish
of Saint Mary Stratford Bow
and for the Constable Headborough Tythingman
and other Officer of the Peace of the same Parish and all other Persons concerned
then to attend to hear and abide the Judgment and Determination of the then Court
touching the said Appeal.
