Saml. Holder< no role > pupil to Mr. Neals at the London
infirmary That the deced on the 6th. Janry. instant between
11 & 12 in the Forenoon was brot. into the Hospl. for a Stab
that he reced in the Belly-just above the left [..] Groin done
wth. an Instrumt.-The Bowels came out & soecred the Surface
of the Wound wch.towas oblig'd to be Enlarged, in Order to Return
the injustines to their due placesThe intestines were wounded
in different places & were carefuly replaced-but the Wounds
were mortal, & he died of the Wounds between or & [..] on the
same day he was brot. in & within a quarter of an poor after
the intestines were replaced-says before the deced died he
inquired of him how he came by the Wound & wher. it was
by accident or wilful-That the deced answed. it was wilful
he was ask'd by whom & the Answr. was by a portuguese
but he did not know his NameSays Wm. Mc. Laghan< no role > a patients
in the same Ward was prsent.That the deced said it was
done by a pash into the Belly but did not Say with what the
push was-did Say a Surgeon was sent for to him & believes he came
but wt. not interfere upon a Presumption the Wound was
mortalSays That when the deced was brot. into the Hospl.
the Bowels appear'd Reading to a Mortificacon by not being
taken came of, Etc brot. in sooner in his Judgmt.bring ask'd
wher. there had been any. quarrel between him & the Portuguese
he Answrd. that there had been a falling out between his Friend
& the portuguese & that he interfer'd on his Friends behalf-is
not certain but upon the best of his Rembrance says the deced
