the Poor of the Parish of St. James,
within the Liberty of Westminster ,
in the County of Middlesex : And to
the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of Alhallows London
Wall in the City at London and to each

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto us,
Two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the
City and Liberty of Westminster , aforesaid (One Whereof
being of the Quorum) by the Churchwardens and Over-
seers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. James , That
Sarah< no role > the Wife of Job Stokes< no role > gone to Germany
and their Child to wit Joseph< no role > aged About Six
Weeks have
lately intruded and come into the said Parish of St. James ,
and are become Chargeable to the same. We
the said Justices, upon Examination of the Premisses upon
Oath, and other Circumstances, do adjudge the same to be
true, and do also adjudge the Place of the last legal Settle-
ment of the said I Job Stokes< no role > & his said Wife
and Child to be in the Parish of St Clk allows
[..] Wall in the City of London

THESE are therefore in his Majesty's Name, to require
you on Sight hereof, to remove and convey the said
Sarah Stokes< no role > & Child
from and out or your said Parish of St. James , to the said
Parish of [..] Challows
and them deliver unto the Churchwardens and Over-
seers of the Poor there, or to some or one them, together
with this our Order, or a true Copy hereof, who are here-
by required to receive and provide for them according to
Law. Given under our Hands and Seals this 31st Day
of August 17 62
