To the Worshipfull his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the
County of Middlesex in General Sessions at Hicks Hall
Assembled.

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the Church-
Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of Saint Luke Chelsea in the County of Middlesex

Sheweth


That by Virtue of a Pass Warrant or Order under the Hands
and Seals of Stepn. Clarke< no role > and John Cox< no role > Esqrs. two of his Majestys Justices of
the Peace for the County of Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing
date the 7th. day of August last past Ann Ward< no role > Widow of Captain Robert Ward< no role >
deceased was removed from the Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn above the Bars in
the said County of Middlesex to the said Parish of Chelsea as the place of her last
legal Settlement whereby Your Petitioners conceive themselves to be aggreived.

Therefore they humbly Appeal to your Worships
against the Adjudication of the said two Justices And
pray your Worships will be pleased to Order that the
Church Wardens & Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn above the Bars and
all Persons concerned do attend this Court some Day
in this present Session to hear and abide the Judgment
and Determination of this Court touching the said
Appeal.

And Your Petitioners shall pray Etc.
