To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of St. Mary Le Bone
in the County of Middlesex
and to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of St. Anne within the Liberty
of Westminster in the said County and to
each and every of them
WHEREAS Complaint has been made unto
Us, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the County of Middlesex
aforesaid (One whereof being of the Quorum) by the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Said Parish
of St. Mary Le Bone
That Richard< no role > a Male Bastard Child aged
near four Months Born of the Body of
Hannah Gurney< no role > This name instance is in set 459. This set is in the group(s): MothersPS . , Singlewoman and
lately been nursed by the said Hannah's mother
hath
lately [..] been brought
and left in the said Parish of St. Mary Le
Bone
and is likely to become Chargeable to the Same;
We the Said Justices, upon Examination of the Premises
upon Oath, and other Circumstances, do adjudge the
Same to be true, and do also adjudge the Place of the
last legal Settlement of the Said Richard< no role > to be
in the parish of St. Anne within the
Liberty of Westminster in the County of
Midlesex


THESE are therefore, in his Majesty's Name, to
require you, on Sight hereof, to remove and
convey the said
Richard< no role >
from and out of your Said Parish of St. Mary
Le Bone
to the Said Parish of St. Anne
and him deliver unto the Church-wardens and
Overseers of the Poor there, or to some, or One of them,
together with this our Order, or a true Copy hereof,
who are hereby required to receive and provide for
him according to Law. Given under Our
Hands and Seals this 8th Day of Janry 1762
