10. Octr. 1761. Three Pidgeons & Magpie
touching the death of Ann < no role > late the wife of Richd.

That last Sunday fortnight Richd. Parrotts Chren
came to his House & said their Father had Cut
their Mothers Tongue out - went with a Neighbor
to the House is found the woman sitting on the
bed side all bloody at her Mouth - he Seised the
Man by the Collar - look'd at the Woman who
made motions to him with her Hands towds. her Throat
- imagin'd she could not Speak - ask'd the Husband
what he had been at, who answed. she hath been
belying of me & I have only [..] took a Piece of her
Tongueoutoff - was delivered to the Constable
togr. with - Knife (produced) - That the Prisonr
said it was done with a bit of a Knife - That
he could have killed her if he would but he did
not want to hurt her

last Monday fortnight Willm. Coombs< no role > the Overseer
of the Parish sent for her to Nurse the deced
she went & nurs'd her a Week - says the deced did
appear to be in a very bad condition & could not
speak - was swelled under her Chin that witht.
Pain she could not swallow small beer - she Polle'd
if & if assuaged - on TuesdayMorningdid not speck
- on Wednesday Morning she Spoke & gave an Acct.
of her Husbands laying hands on her - & desired her
to sit down - did sit down but wondered why
That her husband Kissed her & desired her to put her
