others in his Company when an Affray happened between them,
Deponent saw Dean with a drawn Sword in one hand and a
Stick in the other, but did not observe deced to have any
Weapon, Dean and his Company drove the deced and his
Company out of the Room, Dean soon after returned and
said he had run one of them tho' the Shoulder, Deponent
says thatPresley Seem'd to endeavour to make Peace
between them, but the other Person in Company unknown to
this Deponent promoted the dispute John Roberts< no role > .

George Jolliffe< no role > of St. James's Street Bookseller on his
Oath says that on Saturday last about 10 o' Clock in the Evening
& being wet with the Rain he went into Mr. Roberts's House
with Hosea Eastgate< no role > his Companion, where he saw Stephen Dean< no role >
and others in Company - Dean & his Companions immediately
abused the Deponent & Eastgate on Account of a Woman who
was in the Room, without any Provocation - Deponent then
went to the Black Lyon in Russell Street where he saw
the deced & others in Company whose Assistance he ask'd on
behalf of his Freind Eastgate, whom he left at Roberts's House,
Deced with others went immedistely to Roberts's and soon
