At a Meeting of His Majestys Justices of the Peace for the City
and Liberty of Westminster at the Vestry Room of the Parish of
St. Margaret Westminster on Wednesday the 16th Day of September
1761

It is Ordered that for the preventing the several Mischiefs
which frequently happen by throwing [..] Squibbs
Serpents & other Fireworks in the publick Streets and Papages
within the said City and Liberty that the Following Clause in
the Act of Parliament prohibiting such practices shall be
published

Intert the Clause at Large

And the said Justices do hereby Strictly enjoin and
require the High and petty Constables and other Peace Officers
doof the sd City & Liberty to apprehend all persons who shall presume to throw
any Manner of Fireworks and Carry them before Some
of His Majestys Justices of the Peace for the sd City & Liberty
and also to give information against all such persons
who shall sell Expose to Sale or give away any of the said
Fire works in order that the Penalty prescribed by the sd
Statute may be levied on their Goods and Chattles

To be put into the Daily [..] & Publick Advertizer and Gazetteer
for One Day and 5000 Hand Bills of the same to be
distributed by the High Constable among the Inhabitents
