The Humble Petition and Prayer of John
Grant< no role > now Prisoner in Newgate for Felony

Sheweth

That on the Thirtieth Day of June last your Petitioner was
Committed Prisoner to the Gatehouse Westminster by George Wright< no role >
Esquire as Oath of William Law< no role > for Privately Stealing form his
Person a Canvas Bag Containing Twenty Guineas his Property And now
is a Prisoner Confined in Newgate Under the same Charge.

Your Petitioner therefore Most Humbly prays
That at this Present Session of Goal Delivery of
Newgate holden for the City of London and
County of Middlesex he may be Tryed, Bailed or
Discharged Pursuant to the Statute in that
Case Made and Provided.

And your Petitioner shall pray Etc.
