The Information of Benjamin Lueas< no role > of Chanders
Street Covent garden Silk Meuer
Taken before ne this 31st May 1760

Who being Oath says that on or about the 16th. of May Instant, one Piew
of Green Corded Silks the property of this Informant and Company in Quartaly Twenty
Yards was feloniously Taken and carried awayout of this Informts.
shop situate in Chanders Street aforesaid says that Yesterday one
samuel Cottle< no role > , als John Bradford< no role > als William saunders< no role > , being apprehended.
on suspicion of stealing the said silk Confessed to this Informant
that he had an unfortunate Wife who was given to drinking, and who
had Taken the said silk and given it to him,says that the said Cottle
als Bradford als Saunders then gave this Informant a direction in
writing whose he had Pawned part of the aforesaid silk at several
Places, at which several Places this Informant found the said silk
according to the said Cottle's directions says that on the said Cottles's
Wife Vizt. Eleanor Cottle< no role > 's being apprehended she confessed to thi [..] s
Informant that she about the Time aforesaid did steal the said
silk out this Informant's shop at th Time she came to a she
for a little Cloth, and this Informant farther says that he verily
be levies the several Remnant of silk now produced [..] heard
to him to he the Property of this Informant and Company & which
were stolen from them as aforesaid one of which said Remnant
was found inthe Lodginga shop belonging to the said Cattleals
Broadford ats saunders up the Chimney and that it wesley his directions
it was formed there
