The Information of Catherine Whisler< no role > & Susannah
Crago
< no role > taken before me one of his Majestys Justices
of the Peace for the sd County.

Who being severally on Oath say & first this Jns. Catherine
Whisler
< no role > for herself saith that she was Employed by Morris
Monk
< no role > above 8 Days age to Nurse Richd Monk his father
and the Ins further saith that above Two o' Clock thy Monk
the this Ins. went away for from the sd Richd Monk lodging & put
out the fire and left the sd. Richd. & his Wife in Bed and worke
supposed a Sleep And this Ins was Allermd abt. Seven or Eight
O' Clock this Morning by an Outery that Monk wife was going
to down herself she the said Hester having Attempted to drown herself before & thereon this Ins & the there Inf went in to
the Lodgings to see the sd. Richd. Monk< no role > and formed the sd.
Mr. Monk in [..] the bed with his head laid on the Bed side and-
his body in the bed and said a wound on the left side of his
Face near his Ear which wound she bets. was the cause of
his death as. she this Ins. left him as afsd. free from any
wound and as well as he had been for some time before And
upon the Examination of the sd. Hester Monk< no role > she then confessed
that she had Killed him with the Poker & that she had
struk him as herd as she could And this Inf. further saith
that upon looking at the sd. Pohar than Morning she saw
it Bent and further saith that when she left the sd. Mr
Monk as afsd. she then left the sd. Poker stright as she
verily bels. And this Inf. Susannah Crago< no role > for herself saith
that she lives next door to the sd Monk and went upon the Allarm
afsd. in to the sd. Monk's Room & found the sd Monk laying as
afsd. and the bound as assd. and heard the sd. Hester confess
the Shilling him with the John aforesaid.
