To the Worshipful his Majestys Justices of the Peace Assembled in Sessions at
Hicks Hall in St. John Street in the County of Middlesex

The humble Petition of Athanasins Darby< no role > a prisoner
in Newgate

Sheweth


That your Petitioner at a Session of the peace holden for the County of Middlesex
at Hicks Hall in St. John Street in the sd County on Saturday the 11th. day of April 1752
was Convicted of two Several Indictments for perswading two persons to Enlist
in the Service of the French King was Ordered to be Imprisoned for the space of two
years & to find Suretys upon Each Indictment for his good behaviour for four years
to Commence from the Expiration of his Imprisonment your petitioner to be bound
in a Recognizance upon each Indictment in £200 This Sureties in £100 each

That your petitioner has paid the two Times of £2. each as by Mr. Akerman
Certificate hereto annext appears

Your petitioner therefore most humbly prays your
Worships that he may be at Liberty to put in his
Bail on Friday the 6th. day of this instant
December in Open Court before your Worships
pursuant to the sener of his Notice in Writing
hereto annext & the purport of the Order of Sessions

And your Petitioner (as in Duty bound)
shall ever pray Etc.
