in the County aforesaid by adjornment on
Thursday the twenty third day of May in the twenty fourth year of the reign of our
sovereign Lord George the second King of Great Britain Etc
It is Ordered by this Court that Mr. John Higgs< no role >
Treasurer
of this County do pay Unto Mr.
John Daniel< no role >
Deputy Cryer
of this Court the sum of one pound one shilling and six pence
for his expences and trouble in delivering to thehigh Constablerespective high or chief
Constables in the said County being fourteen in Number andhismost of them residing in the
County at a considerable distance from each other severall Orders issued forth in
pursuance of an Order of the honble. House of Commons of the twentyeth day of March
last
requiringto require from the Overseers of the poor of every parish & place within the limits of
their authority accounts of the moneys annually assessed upon the same towards the releif
of the poor from Easter 1747 to Easter 1750 in order to be laid before the said House of Commons
And the receipt of the said John Daniel< no role >
together with this Order shall be a sufficient discharge to
the said Treasurer
for such payment.
