To the Worshipfull Chairman and the rest of his Majesty's Justices of
the Peace for the County of Middx in General Sessions Assembled

The Petition & Appeal of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Twickenham in the said County of Middlesex

Humbly Sheweth


That by Vertue of an Order under the Hands & Seals
of John Milner< no role > Esqr . and Philip Dyot< no role > Esqr . two of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace for the sd: County of Middx bearing Date the 25th Day of
April last Complaint had been made unto them by the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St: Giles in the Fields in the
County afod: that George Baker< no role > and Susan< no role > This name instance is in set 4441. his wife were lately come
into the said Parish Endeavoering to Settle there Contrary to Law and
it did Appear unto the said Justices that they did Adjudge them likely
to become Chargeable to the sd. Parish of St. Giles in the fields mad upon
Examination of the said Susan taken upon Oath It further Appeared
unto the said Justices that they did likewise adjudge the said parish of
Twickenham in the said County was the place of the last legal
Settlement of the said George & Susan And did thereby Order them
to be Removed and Conveyed from the said Parish of St. Giles in the
feilds to the said Parish of Twickenham what was done accordingly

That your Appellants Conceiveing themselves to be
Aggreived by the Order of the said two Justices do humbly
Appeal there from and pray that your Worships will be
Pleased to appoint a Day at this present Session when
and where all parties may Attend to hear and Abide the
Judgement & Determination of this Court touching the
said Appeal.

And Ye. Appellants (as in Duty bound) shall
ever pray Etc.
