To the Worshipfull His Majesty's Justices of the
peace for the County of Middx in their General
Quarter Sessions of the peace Assembled

The Humble Petition of the Churchwardens
& Overseers of the Poor of the parish of St.
Giles in the fields in the sd. County

Sheweth


That on or about the fourteenth day of March
last as me Ann Fox< no role > wife Peter Fox< no role > was Wandring
and begging in the said parish she was Delivered of
a Female Child baptized Jame which deped about
ten days after her Birth, whereby she and her said
Child became chargeable to the said parish

That Yor. Petr. did Detain the said Woman
in Custody untill the 9th. day of April now last [..]
when Yor, Petrs. Conveyed her before John Milner< no role >
Esqr . one of His Majesty's Justices of the peace for
this County who Examined her and Committed her
to the House of Correction at Clerkenwell where
she new Remains

Yor. Petr. therefore humbly pray that yor.
Worships will be pleased to Order the Frear
of this County to pay Yor. Petrs. such a
Sum of money as this Court shall adjudge
a reasonable Satisfaction for the charges
the said parish has been put unto on Accot.
