for Felony

John Jackson< no role > of Edmonton in the County of Middlesex
Farmer the prosecutor in this Cause maketh Oath and
Saith That Ann Martin< no role > one of the Witnesses on the back of
the Indictment against the abovenamed Prisoner now keeps
her Bed and is so very Ill that She Cannot without Endangering
her Life Attend this Honourable Court this present Session
And this Dept. further Saith That the said Ann Martin< no role > isthe
most
A Material Witness for this Deponent against the said
Prisoner as this Deponent hath been Advised and verity
believes to be true And without whose Testimony this Dept.
Cannot with Safety proceed to the Tryal of the said James
Swaine
< no role > But believes and hopes he shall have the Benefit
of the Testimony of the said Ann Martin< no role > at the next
Sessions if the Court should think Proper to put of the
Tryal of the said Prisoner till then
