of the Parish of Saint Ann Limehouse in the said
County Mariner, now Chief Mate of the Dunvil
Frigot of London Robert Young< no role > Commander Taken
upon Oath Before me Walter Berry< no role > Esqr. one of his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said County
this fourth Day of Aprile in the year of our Lord
one thousand seven hundred and fourty eight.

This Informant on his Oath Deposeth & Saith
That about Twelve or fourteen days ago, he this
Deponent saw Neal Karragan< no role > Labourer (who was
then working on board the Said Ship) along with an
other person whose name is unknown, feloniously
Steal out of the said Ship dunvil frigot one Bagg
of Tobacco weighing about one hundred and an half
pounds weight the Property of persons unknown
And this Deponent further on his oath saith That
he saw the said Neal Karragan along with the
said other person (whose name is not known) Throw
the said Bagg of Tobacco out of a Gun Port of
the Steerage into the River and thereafter saw the
said Neall Carragan run up to the Fore castle and
Call a Waterman , in order (as this Deponent believes)
to Carry the said Tobacco so thrown in the River, ashore:
But no Waterman answered, till Such time as he
this Deponent Called, a Waterman when one having come and
taken the same up, he this Deponent ordered him
to bring it aboard, which he the said Waterman
accordingly did, for which he gave him Six pence
And this Deponent farther on his Oath saith That
the said Tobacco was since sent to the Customer house
And further saith not
