afternoon on Sd. 20th. Octobr. 1736 And that he (meaning Etc) was very positive that ye person who robbed
him was ye said Frankland as by said Examination appears Whereas the said Wm. Frankland
who is menconed to have been called by ye Nickname of Rusty Dick did not at any time attack robb
or forcibly take away from any person whatsoever on ye highway in Oxfordshire any Money or Goods
whatsoever Which said Conspiracy of Deft & Sd. Bygrave were to ye great peril of Sd Franklands
Life To ye Perversions of the Laws Etc To ye evil Example Etc & agt. peace of ye King his Crown &
Dignity.

Deft has pleaded not Guilty & is to try her Traverse thereon his ensuing Sessions at Hicks Hall
The Defts Husband abt. 2 years ago was Under keeper of Newgate and he and Deft being both
complained of to ye Court of Aldernen for several Cruelties & Extorsions in ye Goal she determined
to be revenged of ye Cheif Promoter of Ye Complaint wch was ye said Frankland who was then a
Prisoner for Deft in Newgate .

For this Purpose Deft procured said Bygrave to go with her before Wm. Morice< no role > Esqr . of Kensington
One of Ye Justices of the Peace for Middx & there under the fictitious Name of John Spurce< no role > as
menconed in said Indictment to swear a Robbery agt. said Frankland wch. Bygrave accordingly
did and ye Justice therupon granted a Warrant of Determiner agt Sd. Frankland and Deft tried
several ways to get him removed to Oxfordshire where ye fast was pretended to be committed.
But ye Conspiracy was happily detected & Bygrave was taken and convicted of ye Perjury.
Deft fled to France from whence she privately returned about 2 months ago when upon her
threatning to shoot her husband he gott her committed to Newgate.

She was indicted last Sessions at Hicks Hall for ye Conspiracy to wch, she then pleaded not Guilty
& the Trial at her own desire was put off to ye next Sessions wth. begins 22d of Feby Instant
The Court at Hicks Hall by an Order of Sessions referred her to Mr. Justice Poulson for Bail to wit
