To the Rt. Worshipfull his Majesty's Justices of
the Peace for the County of Middlesex in the General
Quarter Sessions of the Peace Assembled.

The humble Petition and Appeal of the
Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of Battersea in the County of
Surrey

Sheweth


That by an Order Warrant under the hands &
Seals of Theodore Smith< no role > and Thomas Cotton< no role > This name instance is in set 3506. Esqrs. two
of his Maties Justices of the Peace for the said County of
Middlesex Dated the Twelfh Day of December 1737
Mary Blake< no role > Wife of Henry Blake< no role > was removed
and Conveyed from the Parish of St. Anns within the
Liberty of Westminster County of Middx aforesd.
to the said Parish of Battersea in the sd. County of
Surrey as the place of her last legal Settlement
by which said Order or Warrant the Churchwardens
& Overseers of the poor of the sd. parish of Battersea
think themselves aggrieved and Do appeal against
the same

Yor Petitioners therefore humbly Desire your
Worships to make an Order of this Court to
appoint some certain Day this present Sessions
as your Worships shall think proper for tryall
of the Merits of the said Appeal

And yor Petitioners will ever pray Etc
