WHEREAS Complaint has been made unto us
two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for
the County of Middlesex (one being of the Quo
rum) by the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of St. Giles in the Fields in the said County,
That Jonathan Ward< no role > & Elizabeth < no role > his wife and
their three Children (to wit) Ann < no role > aged almost
Six Years Elizabeth < no role > aged almost four Years & Robert< no role >
aged about Six Weeks
lately come into the said Parish endeavouring to Settle
there, contrary [..] Law. And it appeareth unto us the
said Justices, and we do adjudge That they are likely
to become chargeable to the said Parish; and upon Exami
nation of the said Jonathan Ward< no role > taken upon Oath, it further appeareth unto us,
and we do likewise adjudge, That the parish of Castle
Hedingham in the County of Essex
is the Place of the last legal
Settlement of the said Jonathan Ward< no role > & his said wife
& Children
These are therefore in His Majesty's Name to Charge and
Command the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Said Parish of St Giles in the Fields
forthwith to remove and convey the said Jonathan Ward< no role >
& his said wife & Children
from the said Parish of St. Giles in the Field
to the Said
Parish of Castle Hedingham and deli
ver them to the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the
Poor there, or to some or one of them, who are hereby re
quired to provide for them according to Law. Given under
our Hands and Seals the 28th. Day of September 1737

To the Church-Wardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the respective Parishes of
St. Giles in the Fields
in the County of Middlesex ,
and Castle Hedingham in the
County of Essex
and to all other Offices whom it may
