Whereas Complaint hath been made by you the Church-wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Luke
unto us whole Hands
and Seals are hereunto set, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
(whereof one is of the Quorum) for the Countyaforesaid,
That Sarah Jones< no role > Wife of John Jones< no role >
is
lately intruded & Cameinto your said Parish of Saint Luke
there to inhabit as a Parishioner-contrary to the Laws relating to
the Settlement of the Poor, and is there like to become charge-
able, if not timely prevented: AND WHEREAS, upon due Examinati-
on and Enquiry made into the Premises, upon oath and other
Circumstance
it appears unto us, we accordingly adjudge, That the said
Sarah Jones< no role > is
like to become chargeable unto the said Parish of Saint Luke
and that the last legal Place of
settlement of the said Sarah Jones< no role >
is in the said Parish of
Saint Jones Westminister
These are therefore in his Majesty's Name, to order and require you
the said Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Saint Luke aforesaid, that you
or some of you, do forthwith remove and convey the said Sarah
Jones
< no role >
from your said Parish of Saint Luke
to the said Parish of Saint Jones
Westminster and her deliver
to the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some or
one of them, together with this our Warrant or Order, or a true
Copy hereof; whereby they are likewise required in his Majesty's
Name and by Virtus of the Statutes in Such Cafe made, forthwith to
receive the said Sarah Jones< no role >
into their said parish Care-and provide for her
as their own Parishioner-Given under our Hands and seals, the
sixth Day of October in the Year of our
Lord One Thousand seven Hundred and thirty seven
