To the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Enfield
in the Middlesex
and to the Overseers of the poor of the
Parish
in the County of Cambridge

Whereas Complaint hath been made by you the Church-wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Enfield
unto us whole Hands
and Seals are hereunto set, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
(whereof one is of the Quorum) for the County of Middx aforesaid,
That, Mary < no role > the wife of Thomas Gurney< no role > & Thomas < no role >
their son aged about fours months
lately intruded themselves into your said parish of Enfield
there to inhabit as [..] contrary to the Laws relating to
the Settlement of the [..] like to become charge
able, if not timely pre [..]
on and Enquiry made into the Premises afore Oath of Thomas
Gurney

it appears unto us, and we accordingly adjudge, That the said.
Mary the wife of Thomas Gurney< no role > & Thomas their
son are
like to become chargeable unto the said parish of Enfield
and that the last legal Place of
Settlement of the said Thomas Gurney< no role > & Mary his wife
& Thomas Gurney< no role > there son is in the said parish of
Teversham in the County of Cambridge
These are therefore in his Majesty's Name, to order and require you
the said Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Enfield aforesaid, that you,
or some [..] do forthwith remove and convey the said Mary
the wife of Thomas Gurney< no role > & Thomas Gurney< no role >
Their son from your said Parish of Enfield
to the said Parish of Teversham in
the County of Cambridge and them deliver
to the Church-wardens and Overfeers of the Poor there or some or
one of them, together with this our Warrant, or Order, or a true
Copy hereof; whereby they are likewise required in his Majesty's
Name, and by Virtue of the Statutes in such Case made, forthwith to
receive the said, Mary the wife of Thomas Gurney< no role > and
Thomas Gurney< no role > their son
into their said Parish of Tavesham and provide for them their
as their own Parishioners When under our Hands and Seals, the
Twenty second Day of August and in the Year of our
Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and thirty Seven
