At the General Quarter Session of the peace of our Sovereign
Lord the King holden for the County of Middx at Hicks hall in St.
John Street in the County aforesaid by adjornment on Friday the
eighth day of July in the eleventh year of the reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the second King of Great Britain Etc
before Edward Barker< no role > Alexander Garrett< no role > William Booth< no role > John
Poulson
< no role > Esquires & other their Follows Justices of our said Lord
the King assigned to keep the peace in the County aforesaid and
also to hear & determine divers folonys trespasses & other
misdeeds committed in the same County,

Upon hearing of the appeal of the Churchwarden & Overseers of
the poor of the parish of St. Andrew Holborn above the Barrs in
this County against an Order under the hands & seals of John Milner< no role >
& John Mercer< no role > Esqrs. two of his Maties Justices of the peace for the sd.
County (one being of the Quorum) bearing date the eighteenth day
of June last whereby john Sykes< no role > and Lucey < no role > his wife and their
two children (to witt) Hannah < no role > aged two years & upwards and
Unisus < no role > aged thirteen Months who were likely to become
chargeable to the parish of St. Giles in the fields in this County were
removed from the said parish of St. Giles in the fields to the said
parish of St. Andrew Holborn above the Barrs as the place of the
last legal settlement of the said John Sykes< no role > and his said wife &
children, And upon hearing of what was alledged by Councel for
the said Athe Churchwarden & Overseers of the poor of the said
parish of St. Andrew Holborn above the barrs This Court by
consent of Mr. Theed of Councel for the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the poor of the said parish of St. Giles in the fields both allow
of the said appeal, And doth vacate & discharge the aforesaid order
of the said two Justices of the peace, and same is hereby vacated
& discharged accordingly, And this Court doth Order that the Overseers
of the poor of the said parish of St. Andrew Holborn above the Barrs do forthwith
remove & convey the said John Sykes< no role > and Lucey his wife and
their said two children from their said parish to the sd. parish
of St. Giles in the fields , and deliver them to the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the poor of the said parish of St. Giles in the fields
or to some or one of them with a copy of this Order, who are
hereby required to receive the said John Sykes< no role > and Lucey his wife
and their said two children into their care, and to provide for them
as for other poor at the charge of the Inhabitants of the said parish
of St. Giles in the fields untill they can free themselves from the chang [..]
thereof by due to use of Law
